About Me

My name is Lizzie, and it is my great joy to share the beauty and history of the places I love: our dramatic coastlines, hidden rural walks, historic castles, and hidden heritage gems.
I’m passionate about our heritage and stories, with my ancestral connections to many of the
families whose industries shaped Belfast – the Titanic, Northern Ireland’s shipbuilding and
linen industries.

I also love the outdoors and hiking.
I live in the green rolling hills of County Down. I grew up as a child in Northern Ireland; then
studied, worked, and lived in England, Canada, and Australia, before returning home.

As a well-travelled tourist, I appreciate how visitors love to meet some interesting locals, and feel they have experienced something special and different, beyond the main visitor
experiences. I like to “pay forward” the welcome that I, myself, have received abroad.

I have had many visitors to stay over the years, and always enjoy showing them my country - that I thought: "Why don't I do this as a job!"

I tour guide at a national heritage site, as well as taking Belfast walking tours, Line of Duty TV Drama tours, coach tours and driver guided tours within Northern Ireland.
I am a fun, energetic, sociable character, and I love meeting people and finding out their own
stories too.
I am a fully insured Level 4 tour guide, a qualified Driver Guide, and a professional
storyteller, and I work in collaboration with many other local guides.
Testimonials
Our half day with Lizzie in Belfast was an absolute blast! Lizzie was on time and very informative. We stopped at the Titanic district, Peace Wall, Belfast Castle and a pub for Guinness & crisps. Belfast was beautiful and Lizzie left us wanting to come back for more. We would recommend Lizzie to our family and friends.

We could not be more pleased with our genealogy tour with Lizzie. She took our family history and found so many connections for us - churches, gravesites, book authors, museums, allowing us to really gain a sense of the lives of our ancestors and how they might have contributed to the small town of Killinchy. She is fun, kind and knowledgeable and anyone who hires her will not be disappointed.

Lizzie Charley is our new friend in Northern Ireland! Our bespoke tours with her were delightfully tailored to our likes, interests and desires. We spent two fun-filled days in Belfast and on the Antrim coast with her and experienced more than we could have ever asked or imagined. Lizzie is not just a driver, she is a true guide who knows and loves the area. Her knowledge of the history of the people and places enriched our short time in Northern Ireland. Lunch reservations she arranged were charming and delicious!

In Belfast we were on a private tour to the Titanic Museum with Guide Lizzie Charley from LetsGo. There were three of us on the tour, and by the time we stopped for a break and a drink at the Harland & Wolff 'Offices' following an absolutely spectacular tour around the Museum, we felt the comfort of being with friends who shared the same interests and sense of humour - such a good day! After our 'voyage' with the Titanic, we walked through history to the Titanic Distillery where we were taken around by a charming gentleman who made learning about the making of whiskey really fun - helped of course with the tasting of the vodka and whiskey from their sister distillery and the delight of a whiskey and apple juice cocktail to round off the visit. Our 'tour' officially ended at this point, but our Guide had time and offered to take us on a bit of a tour of Belfast - more histroy, specially personal for my husband with his military background, explanations of the murals on the walls of the buildings, and even to the seat of government at Stormant. She even drove us back to the ship at the pier. Such kindness. And friendships made.
